VISION FOR WORKING WITHIN OUR DEPARTMENT: Utilizing a collaborative approach, the Sports Medicine Team strives to treat the whole athlete by providing a professional and nurturing environment to promote the well-being in sport and life. In accordance with the laws of the state of Georgia and the Code of Professional Practice and Standards of Practice of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the Sports Medicine Department is responsible for providing quality healthcare for all Fans First Entertainment athletes in the most efficient & beneficial manner possible.
This position will be a seasonal, 6 week position from June 1st – July 15th providing athletic training coverage for our Banana Ball Developmental team, the Visitors.

- Physical Demands – must be able to lift at least 50lbs due to physical nature of job and assisting patients.

- Creativity- non-standard athletic injuries and sport rules
EXPECTATIONS OF THIS ROLE:
- 1099 Independent contractor for 6 Weeks (Dates: June 1 – July 15) to provide coverage for the Banana Ball Development Team, The Visitors.
- An athletic trainer is a qualified allied healthcare professional educated and experienced in the management of health care problems associated with sports participation. In cooperation with physicians and other allied healthcare personnel, the athletic trainer functions as an integral member of the athletic healthcare team. The athletic trainer works in cooperation with medical personnel, coaches, and administrators in the development and coordination of efficient and responsive athletic healthcare delivery systems.
- Play a supporting role to athletes and staff in their fan-facing roles
- Be a cohesive team player
- Be innovative, and have a growth mindset to continue development within the teams, department, and organization as a whole.
- Assist in daily care for all player personnel
- Assist in daily records and data entry
- Assist in assigned administrative tasks
- Direct and assist in site preparation and set up
- Attend all practices and games for assigned teams.
- Assist in rehabilitation for all players
- Maintain certification and licensure
FUNCTIONS WHILE WORKING IN THIS ROLE:
- Reports To: Head Athletic Trainer
- Supervises: Athletic Training Students
- Basic Function: To assist in care, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of all player personnel in consultation with and under supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer and Team Physicians
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1.) BOC Certified Athletic Trainer
2.) Minimum 4-year college or university bachelor’s degree
3.) Master’s degree or higher in a related field
4.) Georgia State Licensure – priority to those currently licensed due to length of state processing time.
5.) CPR Certification for Healthcare Provider
6.) Preferred experience in baseball or performing arts
PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- Work directly with Head Athletic Trainer, Associate Athletic Trainer, Assistant Athletic Trainers, and medical team
- Communicate directly with coaching and performance staff for assigned team
COMPENSATION
- 1099 Independent contractor
- $1250 weekly rate ($7500 total for length of contract)
