Though we are just a month into the 2025 Banana Ball World Tour, there has already been more entertainment and greatness than ever seen before. That stardom goes beyond the players, and has been seeping into the fans who are just as excited to get in on the action.

While Banana Ball has gotten off to a hot start, it’s the fans who are headlining some of the greatest moments thus far. From fan-caught foul balls to fun-filled promos, they have grown to be just as entertaining as the players they are there for.

With that, let’s go over just a few of the people that have shined the brightest and made others laugh the loudest in Banana Ball games.

These are the kids that have made their mark in Bananaland.

IS it rotten?

The first three-game series in Grayson Stadium started off just like any other. Both teams were announced, the Banana Baby was held up into the air in proper Simba fashion, and of course, the First Peel fan made his way to the field with one mission on his mind. Split marched up to the young fan and Jesse Cole with the ever important briefcase in hand. It contained, of course, the pièce de résistance: A single banana.

Fans watched nervously on the edges of their seats as the banana was unveiled and carefully unpeeled. Now, a good banana means that it’s sure to be a great day for the Bananas. A rotten banana, however… Well, you get the gist.

The stadium grew silent as everyone waited for the kid to take that first bite. And what word did he proclaim after doing so?

“ROTTEN!”

Now, very rarely in Bananaland has a banana been rotten. That wouldn’t be very on brand, now would it? Unfortunately, however, just nine games into the 2025 Banana Ball World Tour, there’s already been two. Maybe kids really are harsh critics.

So that begs the question: Is it a really bad year for the beloved fruit or was this kid just taking this moment to claim his Party Animal fandom? We’ll let you be the judge.

It should be noted that despite the so-called rotten banana, the Boys in Yellow still took a win in game one of the series.

Big Decisions

Opening Weekend in Grayson Stadium was full of kids making a statement and that remained true in the promotion titled “Pick the Parent”.

A young fan was positioned some feet away from both of his parents. As they stood there, mom and dad silently prayed that their kid would pick them as his favorite. The one who the son did not choose would be pied by the parent who was.

And so, when the kid was given the green light, both parents began calling his name, practically begging him to run to them. If it sounds a little desperate, you’re right, but would you want to get a pie to the face after basically being told you’re not the favorite parent? Probably not.

It was a huge decision for the kid and it showed. He took his time, teasing the crowd and waiting as long as humanly possible to pick a parent.

He ran back and forth between the both of them as fans anxiously awaited the decision.

And then the unthinkable happened. A father’s betrayal ultimately led to his downfall. When the kid was just close enough to reach, his dad snatched him up and ended the game.

Now, some of us saw that as cheating, and it seemed that the entertainment crew on the field agreed.

The dad took a pie to the face, a just price to pay after cheating the system. That’s the taste of justice, dad.

The Griddy’s Grand Return

It was a big weekend for all three of the home run hitters in Grayson Stadium. Each kid had a performance that will go down as being some of the most iconic. That’s kind of like the griddy, a viral dance that was sweeping the nation after dominating football players did it on the big screen.

And so what happens in the home run hitter promotion? Well, a young fan is chosen from the crowd and given the hefty task of hitting a home run against the Party Animals.

Now obviously, it’s a little tough to hit a home run against the strong arm of Bret Helton. Because of this, Split, the King of Potassium, usually steps in and offers up a hitting tee.

This was no different for Opening Weekend. The tiny batter in game one stepped up to the tee and delivered a hit that sent the Party Animals into a frenzy. He sprinted quickly around the bases, so quickly, in fact, that after rounding third, he figured he had just enough time to get in a boogie session.

That kid griddied all the way down the third base line. Even then, his raw talent at such a young age was just too much for the Boys in Pink to manage. Powered by the griddy, he scored with ease.

The home run hitter in game two was so overwhelmed with his own griddy moves that he simply forgot to touch home plate. The Bananas redirected him, of course.

Game three’s home run hitter was so offended at the idea of hitting off of a tee that he put the barrel to the ball on the first pitch sent his way.

Take that Bret Helton.

This kid was all business, so while there was no griddy-ing to be had, his incredible speed around the bases allowed his golden cape to flow effortlessly behind him. Reese Alexiades had a tear in his eye as he watched his little protégé base run. Allegedly.

There’s still a ton of Banana Ball left to be played in the 2025 World Tour, and with that, there’s sure to be even more crazy kid interactions to come. Until then, we’ll be doing some research into where we can get a few ripe bananas.
